Throughout 2019, Marriott plans to bring Marriott Bonvoy to life with a series of experiential events for members taking advantage of the company’s marketing partnerships. In addition to accessing local sights and excursions, such as hiking into glacial Patagonia, desert treks on camelback in Morocco or cruising to Vietnam’s floating villages, members can participate in experiences like cooking alongside renowned chefs Daniel Boulud and Eric Ripert or honing football skills in a master class with Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice.

Marriott Rewards Moments and SPG Moments are now Marriott Bonvoy Moments, which together with Marriott Moments feature approximately 120,000 experiences in 1,000 destinations available for purchase or by redeeming points. Connecting Rewards Members With Experiences Linnartz noted that the program’s 120 million members have access to the world’s leading hotel portfolio at the best room rates and member benefits, as well its collection of Moments experiences designed to bring exploration and discovery of the world to the forefront. “Marriott Bonvoy is a travel program designed to bring to life our extraordinary portfolio of global brands in 129 countries and territories, while also providing endless inspiration for members to keep traveling and pursuing their passions,” she added.

“Marriott Bonvoy marks an evolution in travel because it represents more than a loyalty program,” said Stephanie Linnartz, global chief commercial officer, Marriott International. Marriott Bonvoy is built on the belief that “travel enriches everyone.”

Marriott Bonvoy replaces its three current loyalty brands: Marriott Rewards, The Ritz-Carlton Rewards and Starwood Preferred Guest. This deal potential is gone for good now as the SPG Moments has been folded into the new Marriott Moments with the Bonvoy program.Marriott International kicked off its new loyalty brand February 13, 2019. This was great for the savvy deal hunter because you could place the two pages against each other to get some packages for less than others paid or to get a package after one site had it end. But, before the Bonvoy program was launched, Marriott Moments and SPG Moments each had their own auction pages. You may wonder, “what does it matter if the SPG Moments page is gone? SPG is now part of Bonvoy.” Yes, that is true. In fact, accounting for the 1:3 ratio for SPG points to Marriott when they combined, some may actually cost a little less than before. The good part about this is that the pricing for many of these things seem in line with where it had been before they took the page down.

There are a few new auctions that have been added ( for things like Spring Training and Coachella) but there are some of the other ones that have been around still available as well.
